Culinary and Butcher Knives

Our Vintage Carbon Steel Knives are a curated collection of Early-Mid 20th Century edged tools, modified and restored for modern use in the home and field. A break from the ordinary and soul-less myriads of imported stainless blades, these were forged in the U.S. at the epoch of American steel manufacture. Carbon steel is simply better. It sharpens easily, retains an edge longer, and develops a light patination over time, a unique aesthetic accent to any space. Many of the knives in our collection were commercial butcher knives that our custom knifemaker has carefully re-ground for residential applications. They are fitted with custom hardwood handles, brass-riveted, and cotton-wheel waxed.

Each vintage knife in this collection is in good working order and sold as-is. Individual knives may require additional sharpening depending on ultimate use and purpose. Scuffs and scratches are descriptive elements of each piece's unique history and time-worn patina, and are crucial to our choice in hand-selecting each one.
